Peter walked in the door Tuesday night with rain dripping from his hair. Literally. Would you believe I had made this hot chocolate tea just minutes before he soaked my kitchen floor?

Let me tell you something. I don't like hot cocoa. That is, I didn't until I tasted this stuff. But this is different. It's like liquid chocolate. It's thick and rich, and you only need a tiny teacup full.

Five stars from us.

Hot Chocolate Tea

6 tablespoons Dutch process cacao powder
1/4 cup agave (the book is vegan so calls for agave. I only had honey).
2 tablespoons loose-leaf Earl Grey tea
2 cups boiling water

Place cacao and agave in a heatproof pitcher. Place tea in a second pitcher and pour 2 cups boiling water over it. Steep for 3 minutes. Strain over cacao and agave. Whisk until slightly frothy. Serve in two cups.
